This morning, we had nothing on the itinerary. So, we loaded up and went to Chengdu's main attraction, the Panda Center. I can't remember the exact statistic, but something like 90% of the Panda Bears in captivity in the world live in Sichuan Province. The largest center is about 3 hours outside of Chengdu, but the main breeding and research center is here. Anyway, it is a must see for anyone visiting Chengdu and it was a fun day. It is a large sanctuary which involves a lot of walking. We are definitely getting our exercise this trip. They breed Pandas here and provide a lot of research to try to rebuild the Panda population. They also have some Red Pandas. They look like foxes (even their tails look like fox tails) except for their faces. They were really neat little bears. Our schedule has changed a little bit due to the fact that we finished up everything today (we weren't scheduled to be finished until Friday). So, we pushed our flight up and we will be leaving for Guangzhou tomorrow. Unfortunately, that won't speed up our trip home (we still have to wait for our Consulate appointment), but we are ready to head to Guangzhou.
