We are so excited to start this great adventure. What a blessing that awaits us at the other end. It is so hard to imagine looking into our new babies eyes. God is so good and we are looking to him for every step. We have already been greatly blessed with 5 children: Olivia (9), Annabel (8), Grace (4), Quinn (3) and Amelia (1). Life has never slowed down much for us. Skip and I were married in 1997 and 6 months later we found out we were expecting Olivia. God is so GOOD! Every year we sit down and discuss how this year is going to be different, we are going to have an UNEVENTFUL YEAR. HAAA!!! This last year I had two friends bring home BEAUTIFUL daughters from China; Ruby and Natlie. The joy of traveling along with their journeys was so special - my computer screen has seen a lot of tears - their stories are truly touching. Anyway, I have always wanted to adopt a baby. When I was younger our neighbors adopted two children from Korea and I would go over there for hours and play with them. Aaron and Brittney were so dear to me. I think these early memories as a child had a great impact on my life. I loved the birth day of each of my children - AMAZING. I also loved the day I met my brother for the first time. I was 24 when my step father and mother decideded to adopt a baby. Since the time I was playing with baby Brittany and Aaron I prayed for a little brother. God is faithful to the cries of his children - years later what a blessing Kurt is to me. Being such a small part of an adoption was incredibly special. God's hands in an adoption are very big. The love that surrounds and adoption is almost overwhelming. I am so thankful God is leading us down this path. I am humbled by his power grace and love. He does fill the desires of our hearts - even when we don't exactly know what those desires are. He knows what we desire - even as a child. So Olivia, do not give up on that horse!!!
